郭志新 ，1967年生于河北张家口 。1988年毕业于上海复旦大学化学系
，获理学学士学位，专业：化学；1991年毕业于西安西北大学化学系 ，获理学硕士学位，专业：有机化学；1996年毕业于北京清华大学化学系
，获理学博士学位，专业：物理化学
。1996-1998年在中国科学院化学研究所有机固体实验室从事博士后研究 ，并于1998年获得副研究员资格；1998-2000年在美国Clemson大学化学系任博士后研究员；2000年10月入选中国科学院“百人计划”
，在中国科学院化学研究所有机固体研究室任研究员、博士生导师。2003年受邀开始筹建中国人民大学化学系，2004年化学系成立 ，任首任系主任（2004年7月-2010年11月）
，现为化学系教授 、博士生导师 。主要研究领域：富勒烯及碳纳米管的化学和物理，功能化有机及聚合物分子的合成及光
、电特性研究 ，精细有机化学品的合成。主持和参与多项国家自然科学基金项目、科技部 、以及中国科学院项目

GuoZhi-Xin,anativeofZhangjiakou,HebeiProvince,wasbornin1967.HegothisBS(majorinChemistry)fromtheDepartmentofChemistry,FudanUniversity(Shanghai)in1988.ThenhewenttotheDepartmentofChemistry,NorthwestUniversity(Xi’an)topursuehisfurtherstudyforaMSdegree.AfterhegottheMSdegree(majorinOrganicChemistry)in1991,heenteredthePh.D.programintheDepartmentofChemistry,TsinghuaUniversity(Beijing).Intheyear1996,hegotthePh.D.degree(majorinPhysicalChemistry)andworkedintheInstituteofChemistry,ChineseAcademyofSciences(CAS)asapostdoctoralassociate.HespenttwoyearsforanotherpostdoctoralresearchassociateintheDepartmentofChemistry,ClemsonUniversity(USA),thenintheyearof2000,hewasselectedasoneofthe“OneHundredYoungTalents ”byCAS,andwasenrolledtheInstituteofChemistry,CASasaresearchprofessor.From2003,hewasinvitedtobethefounderoftheDepartmentofChemistry,RenminUniversityofChina.Intheyearof2004,heenteredtheuniversityandwasengagedasthefirstheadofthedepartment.Heleavedthepostintheyear2010andcurrentlyservesasprofessorinChemistry(EspeciallyAppliedChemistry)intheDepartment.Hismainresearchareaincludesthechemistryandphysicsoffullereneandcarbonnanotubederivatives,thesynthesisandopto-electricalstudyoforganicandpolymerizedfunctionalmaterial,andthesynthesisoffineorganicchemicals.
