李世东，男 ，1962年生
，现任职于美国加州州立大学旧金山分校，数学系教授 ，兼人民大学讲座教授
，博士生导师 。1982.7毕业于合肥工业大学电子工程系获学士学位；1985.7毕业于中科院研究生院电子所获通信与电子学硕士学位；1989.5毕业于美国马里兰大学获数学硕士学位；1993.5于于美国马里兰大学获数学博士；李世东于1985.7-1987.7曾任中科院研究生院讲师；1993.7-1994.6曾任visitingassistantprofessor于DartmouthCollege;1994.7-1996.6曾任visitingassistantprofessor于UniversityofMaryland,CollegePark;1996.7至今，任职于美国加州州立大学旧金山分校
。2000年起在该校获终身教职 ，于2005年升正教授。

Dr.ShidongLireceivedhisPh.D.degreeinAppliedMathematicsin1993fromtheUniversityofMaryland,GraduateSchool,BaltimoreCounty,USA.HereceivedalsoaMSdegreeinElectricalEngineeringfromtheGraduateSchoolofChineseAcademyofSciences,andaMSdegreeinAppliedMathematicsfromtheUniversityofMaryland,in1985and1989,respectively.From1985-1987,Dr.LiisalectureratGSCAS;From1993–1994,Dr.LiisavisitingassistantprofessoratDartmouthCollege;From1994-1996,Dr.LiisavisitingassistantprofessorattheUniversityofMaryland,CollegePark,andfrom1996–present,Dr.LiiswithSanFranciscoStateUniversity,nowatenuredfullprofessorofmathematicssince2005.

Dr.Li’sresearchfocusisonframesandframeextensionsandtheirapplicationsinsignalanalysisanddatafusion.

Dr.Li’sresearchworkhasbeencontinuouslysupportedbytheNationalScienceFoundationofAmerica(NSF)since1998fromthedivisionofmathematicalsciences.HeisalsolatelysupportedbyanUSAirforceresearchgrant.
