、天然气地质地球化学及成藏地球化学方面的研究，目前的主要方向为页岩气勘探开发的地质地球化学理论和技术的研究 。1986年毕业于西北大学地质系石油地质专业 ，获理学学士
。1995年和1999年分别获中国科学院兰州地质研究所地球化学硕士、博士学位。2001-2007年在美国加州理工学院能源与环境研究中心博士后 。1986年-2001年在中国科学院兰州地质研究所工作
，并于1998年聘为研究员
。1999年1月-7月在德国国立Juelich研究中心石油有机地球化学研究所高级访问学者；2007年3月-2008年4月，任加州理工学院（美国）能源与环境实验室主管 ，地球化学研究组成员；2008年4月-2009年3月
，任德州大学奥斯汀分校经济地质局（美国）副研究员，气体地球化学实验室负责人 ，局出版及编辑委员会委员，德州大学Jackson地质学院大型仪器委员会委员；2009年3月起
