Researchersclaimthattheymustbeallowedunfetteredaccesstoanimalsforexperimentsinordertofindcuresforhumandiseases,yettheyrefusetoaddresstheseriousethicalproblemsoftorturingsentientcreaturesforresearchpurposes.Ontopofthat,over-relianceonanimalexperimentationhashistoricallyhinderedscientificadvancementandendangeredhumansafetybecauseresultsfromanimalresearchtypicallycannotbeappliedtohumans.Infact,scientistscouldsavemorehumanlivesbyusinghumanenon-animalresearchandtestingmethodsthataremoreaccurateandefficient.
