Womenplayanimportantpartinmodernsociety.Nowmanywomenaregoingintoprofessions,suchasmedicine,lawandengineering.Theycomprisealargepartoftheworkersinofficesandfactories.Manyjobstheyareengagedinareinlinewiththeirspecialcapabilitiesoftheirsex.Inaddition,someofthemareworkinguptoimportantpositionswhichusedtobeheldmainlybymen.Thereareevensomebusinesseswhichareruncompletelybywomen.Itisobviousthatwomenaremakinganoutstandingcontributiontotheprogressofmodernsociety.

Thereare,however,stillprejudicesanddiscriminationagainstwomeninourmodernsociety.Inthefirstplace,somepeoplethinkthatmanyjobsmendocanhardlybedonebywomen,whoarephysicallynotstrongenough.Intheireyes,womenaretheweakersex–bothphysicallyandemotionally.Thus,womencanonlybesuitedtotheperformanceofdomesticduties.Andawoman’splaceiswithintheprotectiveenvironmentofthehome.Secondly,theybelievethatmostoftheworld-famousscientistsandstatesmenarefoundtobemales.Finally,theyassertthatthewholesocietyseemstohavealwaysbeendominatedbymenonly.Inaword,menshouldenjoymorerightsthandowomen.

Personally,I'mfirmlystandingonthesideofthosewomanrightdefenders.Sincebothmenandwomenareequallyimportantinhumanactivities,theyshouldbeonanequalfooting.
